Flexible working practices

We acknowledge the fundamental fact that we are only as good as the people we employ and the company we keep. We recognise that we simply would not exist without our people.

In an industry where long hours are commonplace, it is inevitable that family life can be negatively impacted. We endeavour to provide a framework and working relationship with our staff so that they might achieve the balance they need, between their work and their personal endeavours. Tantamount to achieving our goals of flexible working practices we hope for our staff to feel confident that they are working in a secure, safe and healthy environment, where they feel supported and encouraged to achieve the life they desire, both career orientated as well as their life away from work. Whilst this is a difficult goal to achieve, working towards this end is a key focus for us.

 

Russell Garnett

Managing Director

Bachelor of Environmental Planning, Diploma of Building and Construction

Russell prides himself on maintaining a high standard of professionalism and leadership. With 15 years experience in the building industry, he has demonstrated a commitment to ensuring that every client has a successful building experience. He believes that strong client relationships, open lines of communication and exceeding expectations, will ensure that the building experience is a memorable one.

With a tertiary qualification in Environmental Planning, he has a deep understanding of energy efficient design, construction and contemporary planning issues.

Russell represented Australia at the 2000 Olympic Games. He carries the experiences of his sporting success into business and he understands what it takes to operate at the elite level.

Kristian Greenwood

Construction Manager

Licensed Carpenter and Joiner

Kristian joined Urban Revolutions in 2010 as Construction Manager. Kris has over 20 years experience in the construction industry as a foreman, site manager, project manager and construction manager.

In the past ten years, Kris has held project and construction management positions. During this time, Kris has been directly involved in the planning, management and refurbishment of two landmark Buildings in Sydney CBD; has managed the design and construction of a ‘Roll Out’ of retail outlets and has managed the design and construction of a cinema complex within an active Bovis Lend Lease construction site.

As Construction Manager, Kris’ expertise in design management, cost planning, stakeholder management, programming and construction knowledge is essential to the quality outcome of all projects.

Bruce Garnett

Chief Financial Officer

CA, CFP, Registered Tax Agent

Bruce joined the business in mid 2009 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings with him 33 years experience as a Chartered Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Registered Tax Agent.
In the past 25 years, he has been in the financial services industry specialising in taxation and compliance, with 11 years as a director and shareholder of that business. Along the way, Bruce played a pivotal role in growing the business to a portfolio in excess of $4 billion clients funds under management. He continues to be a non executive shareholder whilst pursuing other business interests.

As Chief Financial Officer, his expertise is utilised in the areas of strategic and business development, cash flow management, upgrading the estimating systems and providing taxation, corporate and constitutional advice. In addition to this, his focus will be on execution of organisational revenue targets and ensuring a positive cash flow.

Leslyn van Berkel

Contract Administration

Leslyn has been in the construction industry for 18 years. In that time Leslyn has held many management positions. She has also operated her own successful businesses.
The success of any business can be measured by the efficiency of the administration and back office. Leslyn’s experience in this area is without peer. As part of this role, Leslyn is responsible for sourcing and procurement of goods and services, cost control and OHS compliance.
